SCATTERING OF STONES

The stones of my Life are strewn in random

fashion on the ground of today.

It doesn’t look like they call for ordering. I stare

at each one.

I hold each carefully in my arms Some heaviness,

some lightness

Sun sparkles some, water dampens others.

All are precious; each calls for treasuring a use.

Carefully, mindfully, I choose the first-

I place it carefully on its solid base.

I feel pleasure & look to choose the exactly

right next rock..

Softly, I place it in perfect balance on top

of my first chosen.

I can see, while each is beautiful & precious,

my Task to Balance each is going to require

Attention and Discernment

She knows she is next and happily responds

to being chosen.

Yes, carefully now.

No hurry. Patience. Focus.

Ah yes, Number Three rests in peace. She waits for the

others to join her.

In quiet joy I thank these three for doing their utmost

to balance with each other.

I honor the remaining:

Thank you for being here for me. I will come tomorrow;

I will choose the rest of you.

I thank you in advance for your patience and willingness

to lend your gifts that add wholeness to my Life.

You will, I know, do your best to bring me more joy

and balance in my Life,
